Name of service Apex Scotland
Remit & Target group Apex Scotland aims to reduce re-offending by working with offenders and young people at risk of offending to help them address their employability needs and progress them towards employment, training, education or voluntary work.
Services Provided Street sex worker specific (if any) General
  Employability advice and information, employer advocacy, literacy support, IT classes, Rehabilitation of Offenders act and disclosure advice, compilation of disclosure letters, CV preparation, job search, 1-1 working and group work programmes.

1 Unit Manager, 5 Employment Development Advisors, 1 Key Worker (Phoenix Futures), 1 Administrator, 1 Part-Time Literacy Worker.
Does your service use volunteers / peer educators etc.? 1 volunteer working in groupwork sessions, peer educators providing input into the Think Again Course.

City of Edinburgh: Delivery within Lothian unit premises with outreach in Leith, Wester Hailes and High Riggs Jobcentreplus offices.

West Lothian outreach: West Lothian Criminal Justice offices, Livingston.
Midlothian outreach: New Leaf offices, Dalkeith.

09.00 – 17.00
Catchment area City of Edinburgh.
Midlothian and West Lothian.
Eligibility criteria
(including any restrictions e.g. must be drug free / agree to...)
Employment Unit: Offenders, ex-offenders and young people at risk of offending.
Progress2work: Previous Drug use or stabilised on a reduction programme.
Construction Works: Released from prison in previous 6 months.
SAGE: Criminal record and any other support needs.
Think Again: Offenders, ex-offenders, currently recruiting for Women only course.
Write on Track, ECDL: Offenders, ex-offenders.
